Each year, the second-year University of Arizona medical students hold a memorial service to honor our body donors for their incomparable gifts of knowledge. The body donor's friends, families and loved ones are invited to attend the service. This is a memorable experience for everyone, because it provides the medical students with insight into the donors’ lives and allows them the opportunity to show their appreciation to the donors' friends and families.
2018 Willed Body Memorial Service
The Class of 2021 Expresses Their Gratitude to Willed Body Program Donors
The students prepare a statement to the donors' loved ones which is written in the Memorial Service Program:
"We the class of 2021 wish to express our gratitude for the priceless gift presented to us. Through this contribution, we have gained the knowledge and skills essential to our future practice in medicine. We thank our donors, their families, and their friends. Words cannot express our gratitude and the impact that this gift has had on our lives. Not only has their contribution given us insurmountable medical knowledge, but they have also touched our hearts and forever changed our lives."
